The Beatles Rock Band Video Games

September 09th, 2009 was a big day for Beatles fans. While Apple may or may not announce that the legendary band’s songs will finally be available in iTunes, at least one thing is for certain: The Beatles Rock Band is now on sale.

Available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii (disc: $59.99) for the disc only, or $249.99 for the Limited Edition Premium Bundle, which includes controllers designed to look like a Höfner bass and Ludwig drum kit. The game includes 45 different songs, historic Beatles performance venues, and stunning 3D representations of the band members, along with the standard Rock Band gameplay that users have come to expect.

To commemorate the launch of MTV Games and Harmonix’s The Beatles: Rock Band, Microsoft announced yesterday a special-edition console bearing the Fab Four’s likeness. Not exactly a retail offering, the limited-edition console is on amazon.

Beatles Xbox 360 charity auction on ebay hits $7,000.

With eight days before the auction is set to expire, the Beatles-branded Xbox 360 has already accrued more than 80 bids and is currently commanding a $7,000 offer–some $6,700 more than the MSRP. Microsoft did not indicate how may Beatles consoles would be made available, saying only that a limited quantity would be auctioned off for charity in the lead-up to the holiday season. (more…)
